Moore County Hounds

REQUIREMENTS FOR FINALS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

1. AGE - 18 & younger as of August 1, 2024

2. Be a junior MEMBER OF A HUNT or PONY CLUB affiliated
with a Hunt.

​3. SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE 1 Qualifier, 5 hunts, 3 hound/kennel activities (mounted or unmounted)...see activity log below (PDF). Your log should have hunt/hound related activities listed from Aug. 1, 2024 to Oct. 20, 2025.

4. QUALIFIER ENTRY FORM is available at the bottom of
this page...if you attend more than one qualifier, you will
need an entry for each. Turn them in at the Qualifier to
the person in charge.

5. Complete the requirements on the horse/pony which you
plan to ride in the Championship.

6. TURNOUT/ATTIRE Juniors should dress in traditional 
fall hunting attire throughout the qualifying meets, i.e.,
shirts with ties and hacking jackets, jodhpurs, or
breeches and appropriate boots, certified helmets. 
NO braiding, but clean and neat ponies, tack and boots
are always expected…turnout is important!


*** Make as many copies of the log as you need to keep track
of your progress throughout the season. . .there will be a
Sportsmanship award for the most active junior!
