Weekend Schedule
Nov. 13 – Thursday
9:00 AM - Hunt with Moore County Hounds - Moor Meadow
juniors no cap, adults - $60, may waive a cap if participating in Sunday's Hunter Pace
Noon – Carolina Horsepark - arrive & receive packets and stable assignments
(may arrive Weds.11/12 if hunting on Thurs. 11/13 -
please contact Carla Babcock if arriving early)
6:00 PM - Welcome Dinner, followed by Judges Meeting - The Implement Shed
Nov. 14 - Friday - Lyell's Meadow & The Implement Shed (same location)
7:30-8:00 AM – Stirrup Cup
8:30 AM - Riders Mounted, move to your Division - signs will be posted
9:00 AM - Hunt – Juniors, Judges, Outriders only
Noon - Hunt Tea for everyone - Finalists in each division will be announced
1:00 PM - Whip Cracking, Horn Blowing and Hound Judging Contests
Dinner - on your own in one of the many restaurants in the area

NO HACKING/RIDING ON THE STABLING GROUNDS - you may hand walk your horse in an area to stretch its legs, but there is no riding at the Horsepark.
NO PRIVATE PETS - (dogs, cats, etc.) allowed on any of the weekend locations.
IMPORTANT RULE for JUNIORS - A rider who falls from his or her horse in this competition will not be permitted to continue with the competition. The rule is consistent with the USEA Rule Book, page 43, Rule EV123, and will be enforced without exception.
HUNT TERRITORY - keep in mind that territory, terrain and hounds vary from hunt to hunt....some hunts may have lots of jumps, gates, etc. while others may not. Some hunts have wooded trails, and some may have wide open spaces. While the First Field usually jumps while hunting, there is no set height for divisions...this is not a horse show.

- A limited number of RV/LQ Trailer spots are available - $50/night
- Junior's Horse - $85/weekend Adult's Horse - $100/weekend
- Shavings are available - $12/bag of Pine Shavings - pre-order on entry form
- Bring your own: shavings (unless pre-purchasing on entry form), hay, grain, feed tubs & water

PROPER JUNIOR ATTIRE - traditional fall hunting attire - "Ratcatcher"
- Overall horse and rider "neat & tidy"
- Color coordinated conservative attire is always nice
- No jewelry
- Boots - polished, buffed and shined - half chaps acceptable, boots preferred - tall boots or paddock boots with garters, waxed & polished - protects boots especially if they get wet.
- Whips - optional
- Polished hardware - stirrups, bit, buckles etc.
- Horse - meticulously clean & tidy - no braiding (this not a horse show)
- Pad - shaped/not square - white or brown
- Helmet - certified with chin strap, plain in color (black, brown or navy are acceptable), no decorative cover/hat silk, pom-pom or adornment of any kind. Bows are worn up - only staff wears bows down...a dab of hot glue will remedy the situation if necessary.
- Gloves brown, black or beige string with leather palm.
- Breeches - tan, rust, buff
- Ties - conservative neck ties or stock ties - not gaudy
- Vest optional - solid color or tattersall
- Tack - cleaned, well maintained, flat bridle & breastplate, not rubber
- Jacket - tweed or dark color
- Girth - coordinated with tack
- Hairnets - no strands of hair hanging out of helmet - male riders also.
- Horse boots (if necessary) - black or brown - no colors
- No cell phones, photo/video equipment
